Community Guidelines & Acceptable Use Policy
Tabletop Lynk connects tabletop role-playing game masters ("GMs") and players so they can find each other and play, online and in person. These Guidelines keep the community safe and welcoming. By using Tabletop Lynk you agree to follow them everywhere on the app — session and looking-for-group posts, profiles, chat, requests, and any in-person meetup arranged through the service.
1. The basics
Treat other members with respect, assume good faith, and keep it about the games and the people who play them. Members come from many backgrounds and age groups — behave accordingly.
2. Prohibited conduct
Don't use Tabletop Lynk to:
- Harass, bully, threaten, stalk, or intimidate anyone.
- Post hateful content or attacks based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or similar characteristics.
- Post sexual or sexually explicit content, or pursue romantic or sexual contact with anyone you know or believe to be a minor.
- Impersonate another person, GM, or Tabletop Lynk staff.
- Share someone else's private information (real name, address, workplace, and the like) without their consent.
- Spam, advertise unrelated products, run scams, or solicit money under false pretenses.
- Do anything illegal, or plan or promote illegal activity.
- Hack, disrupt, scrape, or abuse the service or other users' accounts.
3. Safety at in-person meetups
Tabletop Lynk helps you find people to play with, but we do not screen, background-check, or vet members, and we are not present at meetups. You are responsible for your own safety. We strongly recommend that you:
- Meet first in a public place with other people around.
- Tell someone you trust where you're going and who you're meeting.
- Keep sensitive personal and financial information to yourself.
- Trust your instincts and leave if something feels wrong.
Report anyone who makes you feel unsafe. If you are in immediate danger, contact local emergency services first.
4. Minors
Tabletop Lynk is only for adults 18 and older. If you are under 18, you may not use it. Because the Service is for adults, no one on the platform should be a minor; if you believe a member is under 18, do not interact with them and report the account through the app so we can act on it. Never direct sexual content toward anyone you know or believe to be a minor, and never use the app to contact, groom, or arrange private or in-person contact with a minor. If you become aware of any threat to a minor's safety, report it immediately through the app and contact local authorities if someone is in danger.
5. Content you post
You are responsible for your posts, profile, and messages, and you must have the right to share whatever you post. We may remove content or listings that violate these Guidelines or that we judge harmful to the community, with or without notice.
6. Reporting and blocking
Use the in-app report tool to flag a user, post, or message for our moderation team, and the block tool to stop someone from contacting you or seeing your content. Blocking takes effect immediately; reports are reviewed by our team.
7. Enforcement
Depending on severity, we may warn you, remove content, limit features, suspend, or permanently ban your account. Serious violations — threats, sexual content involving minors, or anything that endangers someone — can result in an immediate ban and referral to law enforcement. We apply these Guidelines at our discretion and are not obligated to act on every report or to explain every decision.
8. Changes
We may update these Guidelines as the app grows. The current version, with its effective date, will always be available in the app.
